You are at least 18 years old
You do not currently live in Germany / You already live in Germany as an AuPair
Your German level is at least B1 AND you are ready to improve your German during your voluntary year. If you are interested in education, it would be great if you already have the German level B2.
You are open to get to know the German culture and taking on new tasks
You are prepared to work full-time in a social institution for approximately one year
If you come from a country outside the European Union (EU) you need a visa for Germany. Depending on the country, to get a visa can take two to three months. We support you if necessary.
The incoming program usually starts twice a year: Once on September 1st and once on March 1st.
Your voluntary year usually takes 12 months and can be extended to a maximum of 18 months.
The incoming volunteer year is a full time job, which means you work 39 hours per week.
You´ve got an entitlement of at least 26 vacation days per year.
You have 25 days of educational seminars with your fellow volunteers.
You get pocket money of at least € 370 per month

They are at your side, especially in the first few days: they give you your room, show you your surroundings and accompany you when you go to the authorities.
